Alaska crab, salmon on Red Lobster menu

Bairdi crab legs, king crab legs, sockeye and coho salmon are back on the menu for the annual Crabfest at the national Red Lobster restaurant chain, with more than 900 restaurants nationwide, and in Canada.

A featured dish is the Crab Lover’s Dream, featuring wild-caught snow crab legs and king crab legs, paired with Red Lobster’s signature crab linguini Alfredo.

Also on the menu is the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake dinner, featuring blue crab, paired with Meyer lemon aioli.

Alaska sockeye and coho salmon, harvested from Prince William Sound, Bristol Bay and Sand Point are also on the menu.

Red Lobster officials said that the Alaska Seafood logo appears on Red Lobster menus next to wild-caught Alaska crab and salmon options, affirming the company’s long-standing support of sustainable fisheries and its commitment to protecting Alaska’s seafood for future generations.

This year Red Lobster is also celebrating the fishing boats and crews who supply crab to its restaurants, including the Deadliest Catch crab fleet.

To toast the fleet, Red Lobster has a new Rogue Wave drink, featuring tequila, blue curacao and margarita mix, topped with a splash of ginger ale and served on ice in a commemorative Red Lobster mason jar with the Deadliest Catch logo.

Red Lobster, the world’s largest seafood restaurant company, is headquartered in Orlando, Fla.
