Applicants sought for Coast Guard advisory committee

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking applicants for the Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee, to provide advice and make recommendations on various matters related to safe operation of commercial fishing industry vessels.

Completed applications must reach the Coast Guard on or before Oct. 18.

The selected applicants, to begin their respective terms in May 2017, would provide their advice and recommendations to the Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security.

Those interested should send a cover letter expressing interest in appointment to the Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee that identifies which membership category the applicant is applying under, along with a resume detailing the applicant’s related experience for that category.
