Workshop keyed to salmon dependent communities

A workshop focused on identifying and addressing long-term challenges to Alaska’s salmon and communities who depend on them is slated for Nov. 1-3 in Anchorage by the Center for Salmon and Society.

The agenda calls for two days of public discussion and presentations at the Dena’ina Center, followed by a day of break-out sessions to develop action plans addressing key issues arising from the public workshops.

The purpose of the workshops and of the Center for Salmon and Society is to ensure that communities dependent on salmon keep that food source driving their economy and culture for generations to come.
