Law & Order: Oct. 7-13

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 10-7-16 thru 10-13-16. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

OCTOBER 7, Friday: 

1:11 a.m. Caller reported a party going on at a residence and that it was loud. Officer responded and spoke with the individuals who agreed to keep it down.

OCTOBER 8, Saturday: 

6:30 p.m. Caller stated that their downstairs tenant had friends over and that they were drinking and fighting and would like them removed. Officer responded and trespassed individual causing the disturbance. 7:01 p.m. Caller reported a car accident and someone screaming. Officer and ambulance responded and individual was transported to the hospital. 8:46 p.m. Individual came to the station to speak with an officer about someone stalking them.  Case is under investigation. 9:24 p.m. Caller reported kids by an establishment kicking things around. Officer responded and spoke with the group of kids who were throwing a football and not causing any problems. 9:45 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a medical transport from the hospital to the airport. Ambulance responded and transported patient.

OCTOBER 9, Sunday:

9:44 a.m. Caller reported an overdue hunter. Caller later called back reporting that some people found him and his boat and that he was fine. 12:08 p.m. Caller reported tools were stolen from a work site sometime in the evening. Case is under investigation. 12:08 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a neighbor. Caller stated he could hear him feeling ill. Officer responded and asked for an ambulance to transport the individual to the hospital. 12:09 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance because they were feeling extremely dizzy and need to go to the hospital. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to the hospital.

OCTOBER 10, Monday: 

9:56 p.m. Caller reported that they wanted a person removed from their residence. Officer responded and provided the individual transport to another residence.

OCTOBER 11, Tuesday: 

1:27 p.m. Dispatch received two 911 calls reporting an unconscious individual and that they need an ambulance. Officer and ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 10:38 p.m. Caller reported an individual was laying on the ground outside. Officer and ambulance responded and the individual was transported to CCMC.

OCTOBER 12, Wednesday:  

7:06 p.m. Caller reported that their neighbors were arguing very loudly and slamming doors and would like an officer to respond. Officers responded to residence and spoke with the parties involved.

OCTOBER 13, Thursday: 

2:24 a.m. Caller reported two individuals arguing outside for a long time and would like an officer to respond. Officer responded and located the arguing individuals. After speaking with them one of the individuals left and the other was given a ride to their residence. 8:39 a.m. Caller reported that an individual may be leaving out food items to intentionally harm neighborhood animals. Officer responded to the residence and after speaking with the owner and examining the left out material, determined that there was no maliciousness to the individual’s actions.

DMV HOURS:  Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
