Law & Order: Oct. 14-20

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 10-14-16 thru 10-20-16. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

OCTOBER 14, Friday: 

4:28 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle roll over on the highway and that there were no injuries. Officer responded and provided traffic control until tow truck arrived. 7:37 p.m. Caller reported a one vehicle accident on the highway. Officer and ambulance responded and transported one individual to CCMC. 10:13 p.m. Caller reported a domestic dispute. Officer responded and spoke with both parties who agreed to go their separate ways.

OCTOBER 15, Saturday:  

1:22 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance as they were having a seizure. Officer and ambulance responded and the patient was transported to CCMC. 1:50 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a family member. Officer and dispatcher located the individual and notified the caller that they are ok.  5:35 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for an individual. Officer and ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC.

OCTOBER 16, Sunday:

3:11 p.m. Caller reported that a window was broken. Officer responded and the case is under investigation. 6:18 p.m. Caller reported that there was a fire in their kitchen. Officer and fire department responded.

OCTOBER 17, Monday: 

5:32 a.m. Caller requested a medical transport from CCMC to the airport. Ambulance responded and transported the patient. 9:41 a.m. Caller reported that it seemed like someone attempted to break into their business sometime in the night. Officer responded and the case is under investigation.

OCTOBER 18, Tuesday:  

3:55 a.m. Caller reported two individuals loudly arguing outside their residence. Officer responded and spoke with the individuals who then moved on. 10:46 a.m. Caller reported an individual was stuck out in a boat in the bay. Alaska State Troopers were notified. Later the caller reported that the vessel made it safely to his dock and no further assistance is needed.

OCTOBER 19, Wednesday:  

8:00 a.m. Caller reported that people are dumping trash in front of the landfill. Officer responded and the incident is under investigation.

OCTOBER 20, Thursday: 

6:33 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check. Officer checked on the individual and determined that everything was ok. 6:49 p.m. Caller reported that there is a vehicle parked on their property and are requesting that it be moved. Officer responded and spoke with the owner who said that they had a friend coming who would move it.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
