During the early days in Cordova, there was a small gold rush to Shushana and Cordova was the starting point for those gold seekers. Some enterprising folks started impromptu games of chance and luck for anyone willing to spare a little of that hard-earned gold. Look close at this photo – there’s a lot of detail and the attire of all is interesting to observe.
