Law & Order: Dec. 16-22

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 12-16-16 thru 12-22-16. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DECEMBER 16, Friday: 

2:49 a.m. Dispatch received a fire alarm. An officer and a fire officer responded and determined that is was a broken sprinkler head. 6:11 a.m. Dispatch received a fire alarm. Fire officer responded and met with responsible party who stated that a sprinkler had burst. 3:27 p.m. Caller reported that they had a vehicle accident. The case is currently under investigation. 4:17 p.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries. Officer responded to scene and took a vehicle accident report. The case is currently under investigation.  4:49 p.m. Caller reported that they were stuck and could possibly be sliding down a boat ramp. Officer stood by as a private party assisted the motorist.

DECEMBER 17, Saturday: 

11:53 a.m. Caller reported that an individual was acting very strange and requested an officer to check on them. Officer responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 11:58 p.m. Officer found a dog running loose. Officer returned the dog to the owner.

2:51 p.m. Caller reported that there was some suspicious activity possibly going on at the baseball field dugouts. Officer responded and was unable to locate any individuals in the reported area.

DECEMBER 19, Monday:  

11:44 a.m. Officer reported that he was assisting a motorist on the highway.

DECEMBER 20, Tuesday: 

3:30 p.m. Individual came to the station to report a theft. The case is currently under investigation.

DECEMBER 21, Wednesday: 

8:43 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for an individual who had fallen. Ambulance and officer responded and transported the individual to CCMC.

DECEMBER 22, Thursday: 

12:10 p.m. Caller reported that a family member was having difficulty breathing and they required an ambulance. Ambulance and officer responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 12:35 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check on an individual. Officers searched for the individual and were able to locate them. 1:53 a.m. Officers requesting an ambulance for an injured individual. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 3:38 a.m. Caller reported that the ambulance will be doing a medical transport to the airport. Ambulance then transported the patient to the airport for a medivac flight. 8:59 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check. Officer responded and all was well. 9:32 a.m. Caller requesting an ambulance for an individual who had fallen down and was in pain. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 2:28 p.m. Caller requesting an officer because there was a fight in progress. Officer responded and separated the parties. Investigation is ongoing.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
