A presentation on the rising tide of seaweed farming will be offered by on Feb. 28 by Gary Freitag of the Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program in Ketchikan, via online delivery via Zoom.
Freitag will give an overview of kelp and seaweed farming, as well as its potential as an emerging industry in Alaska.
The presentation will include information on the science of kelp farming, culture techniques, processing, handling of products, markets, and potential product types.
