Law & Order: March 17-23

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 3-17-17 thru 3-23-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MARCH 17, Friday: 

5:56 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for severe hip pain and could not stand up. Ambulance responded and transported the patient to CCMC.

MARCH 18, Saturday: 

9:08 a.m. Caller reported he was out the road and his vehicle was stuck. He had no cellphone reception but could only contact 911. Caller asked if dispatch could contact an individual go help him. 4:56 p.m. Caller requested the fire department respond to a house with smoke coming from it. Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.

MARCH 19, Sunday:

10:38 a.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on First Street. Officer responded and both parties exchanged insurance information.

MARCH 20, Monday:  

Nothing to report.

MARCH 21, Tuesday:  

Nothing to report.

MARCH 22, Wednesday:  

4:01 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle was hit while parked in a parking lot. Officer responded and started an investigation. 4:47 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on her friend. Officer responded and spoke with the callers friend.

MARCH 23, Thursday: 

Nothing to report.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
