Law & Order: March 31-April 6

he following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 3-31-17 thru 4-6-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MARCH 31, Friday: 

Nothing to report.

APRIL 1, Saturday: 

8:24 a.m. Officer discovered several damaged vehicles. Further investigation revealed that David Anderson, age 22 of Cordova, AK had caused the damage. The investigation is ongoing.

APRIL 3, Monday: 

Nothing to report.

APRIL 4, Tuesday:  

10:48 p.m. Caller reported an oil sheen on the road. Fire Officer responded finding the sheen to be heating oil. Oil Absorbent Pads were placed down to clean the oil.

APRIL 5, Wednesday: 

1:08 p.m. Caller requested an officer to stand by so he can retrieve personal items from his former residence. Officer responded and stood by. 9:50 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on his friend. Officer conducted the welfare check and found everything to be fine.

APRIL 6, Thursday: 

Nothing to report.

DMV HOURS: Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. \ Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
