Gov. Bill Walker met with Vice President Mike Pence in Anchorage on April 15 to discuss Alaska’s trade relations with Asia, and further opportunities to develop Alaska’s natural resources for foreign and domestic use. Pence was in Anchorage for a refueling stop en route to the Asian Pacific. Walker was joined by Keith Meyer, president of the Alaska Gasline Development Corp. “There is great potential in our oil and gas, fish, tourism and mineral resource industries, and we look forward to working with the Trump Administration to maximize that potential,” Walker said.
