All-star basketball

These photos are from Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches (AABC) All-Star weekend event. The All-Star game took place at Wells Fargo Complex on UAA campus. The Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches Award Banquet took place April 14 at Dimond High School, in Anchorage. Cordova High School had four athletes participating in the events. Seniors Andrew Muma, Andrew Werner, and Leigha Peebles participated in the weekend events and played in the game, and freshman Christian Adams received the Point Guard College (PGC) Heart of a Champion award. CHS Girls Varsity Coach Brad Sjostedt, and CHS Boys Junior Varsity Coach Bert Adams attended.

“The event is sponsored by AABC and selection is by the coaches throughout the state of Alaska. Coaches nominate players and then vote on list of players nominated is how I understand it,” Adams said.
