Law & Order: Sept. 29-Oct. 5

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 9-29-17 thru 10-5-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

SEPTEMBER 29, Friday:
4:31 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance to the High School for a volleyball player with a head injury. Ambulance responded transporting the individual to CCMC.

SEPTEMBER 30, Saturday:
11:32 a.m. Caller reported smoke coming from the landfill past 13 mile. Responsible party notified who is conducting drills in the area.

OCTOBER 1, Sunday:
4:38 p.m. Individual reported finding used needles in the bed of his truck. Officer responded to the scene. 5:05 p.m. Caller reported a man has been acting strange next to her boat. Officer responded finding the man who stated he was upset and having a bad day.

OCTOBER 2, Monday:
Nothing to report.

OCTOBER 3, Tuesday:
Nothing to report.

OCTOBER 4, Wednesday:
5:46 a.m. Caller reported people were attempting to break into his residence by picking his lock. Officer responded and was unable to locate subjects. Caller spoke with officer and stated that he had spoke with the individuals and told them to leave. 7:39 p.m. Caller stated that someone was banging on her parents front door with a shovel and wanted an officer to respond. Officer responded and determined the banging was from her father who was told to stay away for the night.

OCTOBER 5, Thursday:
10:20 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a woman who was having difficulty breathing. Ambulance responded and transported patient to CCMC.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:
DMV HOURS: Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
