At Your Library: New DVDs for those rainy kind of evenings

The collection of DVDs at the Cordova Public Library is growing constantly. Permanent card patrons can check out as many as five DVDs for a one-week period, so you can have a movie marathon in the comfort of your own home. Check out these recent additions compiled and catalogued by Librarian Alec Christopher.

Find Joe: (2011) Explore how the hero’s journey is relevant and essential in today’s world.

Something’s Gotta Give: (2004) A sharp, witty, romantic comedy woven around complicated relationships and personalities.

Twilight: (2009) First movie in the Twilight Saga. A dangerous twist to the classic story of star-crossed lovers.

New Moon: (2009) Second movie in the Twilight Saga. Vampires, werewolves and mortals must work together.

Eclipse: (2010) Third movie in the Twilight Saga. Mortal must choose between Vampire and Werewolf that may ignite an ageless struggle.

The Little Prince: (2005) Claymation story of a downed pilot that befriends a young traveler of planets.

Smokin’ Aces: (2007) Edgy action comedy that takes no prisoners in a slick Las Vegas setting.

Crazy/Beautiful: (2001) Fun and energetic story of first love in high school.

The Way We Were: (1999) Love story sparked by the attraction of opposites during foreign war, domestic prosperity, and McCarthy paranoia.

Cinderella II Dreams Come True: (2002) The only true way to succeed is to be yourself.
