Law & Order: Oct. 27-Nov. 2

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 10-27-17 thru 11-2-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                     

OCTOBER 27, Friday:

5:20 p.m. Caller reported finding a purse behind a business. Purse was taken into the station.

OCTOBER 28, Saturday:

10:59 a.m. Caller reported a couple of aggressive dogs were running loose. Officer spoke with owner about securing the dogs. 7:44 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a medical check. Officer and ambulance responded and individual was taken to the hospital.  

OCTOBER 29, Sunday:

4:18 p.m. Caller reported suspicious activity in a neighborhood. Officer responded and spoke with people visiting a friend.

OCTOBER 30, Monday:

5:12 p.m. Caller reported a dog complaint. Officer responded investigating the situation.

OCTOBER 31, Tuesday:

10:21 p.m. Caller requested an Officer to his residence for an unknown emergency. Officer responded finding the caller and others to be intoxicated and found no emergency or crime took place.

NOVEMBER 1, Wednesday:

3:55 a.m. Individual reported a sexual assault that took place. Officers responded investigating the situation. 11:18 a.m. Caller reported someone is attempting to poison her dog by throwing open chocolate and chicken bones in her yard. Officer responded speaking to all parties involved.

NOVEMBER 2, Thursday:

Nothing to report.  

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
