Proposals sought on PWS fisheries

Proposed changes to finfish and shellfish regulations for Prince William Sound are being accepted by the Alaska Board of Fisheries through April 10 for consideration in the board’s 2020-2021 meeting cycle.

The call for proposals issued on Dec. 27 includes subsistence, personal use, sport, guided sport and commercial fishing regulations for Southeast Alaska and Yakutat finfish and shellfish, and all other shellfish statewide.

The board may also consider subsistence proposals for other topics, including other areas, under the state’s subsistence proposal policy.

Proposals may be submitted online at adfg.alaska.gov, faxed to 907-465-6094, or mailed to ADF&G, Boards Support Section, P.O. Box 115526, Juneau, AK 99811-5526.
