ASMI partners to promote takeout seafood menu

Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute has launched a promotion to help restaurants in the industry’s changing landscape of food service takeout and delivery with a video series showcasing opportunities to feature seafood to go.

ASMI announced on Wednesday, May 20, a new partnership with chef, author and sustainable seafood expert Barton Seaver, who uses the videos to highlight seafood specific strategies for food service outlets.

The videos are available online at alaskaseafood.org.

“I’m always eager to showcase the versatility of seafood and how it can meet the challenges of any menu format,” Seaver said. “Especially in these unprecedented times it’s more important than ever that we all eat seafood twice a week.”

In addition to takeout menu tips, ASMI and Seaver completed two short videos on working with Alaska salmon from head to tail and the benefits of working with frozen fresh Alaska seafood in the commercial kitchen.

The videos are available in the foodservice training and education section of AMI’s website at alaskaseafood.org/foodservice/resources/training-education.
