The House Finance Committee is taking public testimony on the state's operating and mental health budgets at 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, from the communities of Dillingham, Cordova, Sitka, Wrangell and Petersburg.

Individuals who want to testify should go to their local legislative information office (LIO) and sign up to speak. People will be given two to three minutes to offer testimony.

The committee also heard public testimony Tuesday from Bethel, Kotzebue, Barrow, Nome, Delta Junction and offnets.

Staff for Sen. Lyman F. Hoffman asks people to remember that the budget is a work in progress and public input may make a difference in the final decisions made by the legislature. For more information contact
