Mrs. Van Dyck's class of third- and fourth-graders have been learning about growing vegetables in Cordova. Mrs. Van Dyck and her brother-in-law, Glenn Van Dyck, a gardener, taught the students that it is possible to grow things such as Brussels sprouts, turnips, beets, cabbage and Yukon Gold potatoes here.
