As I write this, Cordova is gearing up for the annual Iceworm Festival. As I have heard it told, this splendid event was developed because people needed something to brighten up the short, dreary days in the dead of winter in Cordova, when nothing much else was happening except bad weather. And if there wasn’t already something on the calendar, well, then, the clever and self-sufficient folks of Cordova decided to create one. The icky weather we have had this week means that we’ll welcome this bright spot again this year.
