In a panel discussion at the Southwest Alaska Municipal Conference’s annual summit in Anchorage on Feb. 17, Rep. Alan Austerman, R-Kodiak, spoke of the importance of maintaining the fishing rights, waterfronts and cultural lifestyle of rural communities.
