For many Cordovans, this is the busiest time of the year. Fishermen are spending hours at sea, having spent hours in preparation, and hours and hours (if the fishermen I know are any example) making the incessant boat, net, and equipment repairs. I know my own time, though my work is different in almost every way, is also intensely busy as I prepare for a major conference, along with my usual duties. I am also preaching a series on vocation, so my thoughts are full of the nature of our work.
