The Cordova Times - Commerce department petitioned to protect corals

A formal petition to protect 43 imperiled coral species in the Bering Sea under the Endangered Species Act was filed Aug. 20 with the Department of Commerce by the Anchorage office of the Center for Biological Diversity.
