The Cordova Times - Dumping a fish, deer or moose carcass?
When asked where to see eagles, coyotes and other wildlife, the answer that visitors may get is "down near the burn pile." Here along the rock embankment wildlife can be found scavenging carcasses of all kinds. When the deer season starts, the turn-out on Orca Road can be piled with bones and hides with crows, ravens and eagles strutting about on top. One count of parts last winter indicated the remains of at least 17 deer had been dumped almost simultaneously.
