The Cordova Times - Legality of proposed ordinance draws fire
The Cordova School District was at the heart of last week's city council meeting. A comprehensive new ordinance (Ordinance 1098) included in the agenda and written by Council member Dave Reggiani addressed various aspects of School District functions, from budgeting to maintenance and board member term limits. The ordinance, presented to council members and the public for the first time, lead to a heated debate about the role of city with regard to the school district.
