Still a holiday treasure

Retail prices for Bristol Bay red king crab jumped from $26 a pound a year ago to $35 a pound in December of this year, but Tito Marquez of 10th and M Seafoods in Anchorage said demand is steady.  Those prices at the popular seafood shop are still considerably less than those advertised by some online seafood purveyors.

Cordova Artists Show, Christmas Sale

The Cordova Artists Show and Christmas Sale is taking place in the Cordova Historical Museum’s Copper River Gallery, Dec. 13-Dec.16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Dec. 17, 12-5 p.m. The art show features framed original art and other treasures by local artists.

Community events welcome in the Christmas season
