By City of Cordova staff

The City of Cordova is planning a silent auction and surplus sale with items leftover from the move to the Cordova Center. A myriad of materials are available ranging from building materials, shelving, tables, electronics, office furniture and equipment, bicycles and more.

The event will be Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the old library and museum. To participate you must come to the old library on June 4 and register to get your bid number beginning at 10 a.m. Bid sheets will be collected at 12:30 p.m. and successful bidders will be notified shortly thereafter.

All sales will be final and sold in as-is, where-is condition and the winning bidder must remove the item within 48 hours. Payment will be due in full after the auction closes. Call Natalie at 424-6100 for more information.

The City is also holding a lot sale from now until noon on June 3. This is a sealed bid sale. Offered are surplus building materials in two connex containers behind the old museum. The miscellaneous materials include hardware, ceiling tiles, flooring materials and more.

Materials may be viewed by appointment. Viewings are Tuesdays 3 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. or other times as available. Call Weston Bennett at 854-2641 or Natalie Webb at 424-6100 to set up an appointment.
