BOF 2016-2017 proposal book is online

There’s a new book online for all those engaged in commercial, sport and subsistence fisheries: the 2016-2017 Proposal Book packed with 276 proposals to be considered in this cycle by the Alaska Board of Fisheries.

The board has accepted those 276 proposals for review during its Upper and Lower Cook Inlet finfish, Kodiak finfish, and statewide (except Southeast and Yakutat) king and tanner crab and other issues regulatory meetings.

The proposals may be downloaded individually, in sections, or for entire meetings off of the board’s website, http://www.boardoffisheries.adfg.alaska.gov

Lower Cook Inlet finfish issues will come before the board Nov. 30 through Dec. 3 at the Alaska Islands and Oceans Visitor’s Center in Homer.

Kodiak finfish issues will be under discussion Jan. 10-13 at the Best Western Kodiak Harbor Convention Center in Kodiak.

Upper Cook Inlet finfish will be the focus of the board meeting at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel in Anchorage Feb. 23 through March 8.
