Reservations for winter travel aboard the Alaska Marine Highway System are now being accepted by booking at www.FerryALaska.com, by calling 1-800-642-0066, or by booking with ferry staff at a terminal location statewide.
The schedule released on Aug. 17 covers travel from Oct 1, 2016 through April 30, 2017. Details on fare costs are online and from reservation agents.
Release of the 2016-2017 winter schedule came in the wake of a public comment period held in May and June, to allow communities to review and comment on the proposed schedule.
