United Fishermen of Alaska is inviting participation in its Salmon Habitat Information Program survey, for a chance to win a $500 gift certificate from Alaska Airlines or $200 gift certificate from the Seattle marine supplier LFS.
The survey can be accessed at https://www/surveymonkey.com/r/UFAhabitat
through Labor Day, Sept. 5. Survey winners are to be announced on Sept. 6.
UFA officials said that the more responses to the survey the better the organization will be able to represent commercial fish harvesters in Alaska.
Our mission, UFA officials said, is ”to promote and protect the common interest of Alaska’s commercial fishing industry, as a vital component of Alaska’s social and economic well-being. We see salmon habitat sustainability as a vital component of that mission and appreciate all the input we can get from fishermen to better fulfill our mission.”
