State marine highway officials are seeking public comment on the proposed Alaska Marine Highway System summer ferry schedule, which is now available online at the AMHS homepage, dot.alaska.gov/amhs/share/schedule/considerations.pdf

This is an opportunity for all affected communities to review and comment on the proposed schedule, in consideration of upcoming community events.

Written comments will be accepted prior to Oct. 24 via email at dot.amhs.comments@alaska.gov and by fax at 1-907-228-6874.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities will hold a teleconference at 10 a.m. on Oct. 27 to hear comments and consider adjustments for Southeast schedules and at 1:30 p.m. for Southwest and Southcentral schedules. For those wishing to attend, the meeting will be held at the Alaska Marine Highway Central Office in Ketchikan.

The toll free number to participate in either teleconference is 1-800-315-6338, and the conference code is 03902#.
