Law & Order: Nov. 11-17

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 11-11-16 thru 11-17-16. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

NOVEMBER 11, Friday 

1:12 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for themselves. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 12:48 p.m. Caller requested and ambulance for an individual who had fallen. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 4:04 p.m. Caller requested a medical transport from CCMC to the airport. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to the airport. 4:45 p.m. Officer reported an individual was making trouble for the TSA agents because they had forgotten something. Another individual brought the forgotten item and the individual was allowed to board the plane. 9:41 p.m. Caller requested an officer because an individual was shouting outside their apartment. Officer responded and spoke with the parties involved. The parties were separated after agreeing to fix any damages they caused. 11:13 p.m. Officer notified dispatch that they found graffiti at several locations. The incident is under investigation.

NOVEMBER 12, Saturday

NOVEMBER 13, Sunday

12:32 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for an individual who was having back pain. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC. 2:16 a.m. Caller requested a medical transport from the hospital to the airport. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to the airport.

NOVEMBER 14, Monday: 

6:27 a.m. Cordova Dispatch received a 911 call from the Delta Junction area that erroneously came in on our normal phone line.  The caller reported that there was a vehicle accident in Delta Junction.  Cordova Dispatch contacted Fairbanks police which rerouted the call to their agency.  1:59 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance because they were feeling dizzy. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC.

NOVEMBER 15, Tuesday

9:00 a.m. Business reported some missing inventory. The incident is under investigation. 1:55 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle accident on the highway with no injuries. Officer responded and documented the accident. 8:16 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a family member. Officer responded to residence and spoke with the individual and all was well.

NOVEMBER 16, Wednesday  

10:43 a.m. Caller reported that their work vehicle had been vandalized. Officer responded and documented the incident. 11:00 a.m.  Police followed leads on the graffiti reports from November 11, 2016, and apprehended a suspect.  The case has been forwarded to Juvenile Probation for further processing.  11:40 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the airport. Ambulance responded and provided transport.

NOVEMBER 17, Thursday  

3:30 p.m. Individual reported that a neighbor was harassing them.  Officer determined that there was no crime being committed but the incident was documented.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
