The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 12-9-16 thru 12-15-16. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
DECEMBER 9, Friday:
1:48 p.m. Caller reported that a neighbor was harassing them. Officer spoke with caller in regards to the neighbor’s behavior and no further action was necessary. Caller reported that they had received a disturbing call. Officer spoke with individual who had given the disturbing message who said that it was a prank and meant for another person. Officer informed the individual that this type of issue is taken seriously by law enforcement.
DECEMBER 10, Saturday:
Nothing to report.
DECEMBER 11, Sunday:
10:12 p.m. Caller reported that their vehicle was stuck. Officer responded and was able to free the vehicle.
DECEMBER 12, Monday:
11:30 a.m. Caller reported that a tenant had racked up a very large bill and hasn’t paid. The case is under investigation. 2:47 p.m. Caller reported a parked vehicle was on fire. Fire department responded and extinguished the flames.
DECEMBER 13, Tuesday:
1:36 p.m. Caller reported that there was an intoxicated individual walking in the middle of the highway. Officers responded and searched area but were unable to make contact with the individual. 9:01 p.m. Caller reported possible gun shots. Officer patrolled area where the caller reported but no one was in the area.
DECEMBER 14, Wednesday:
5:57 p.m. Caller reported hearing a boat alarm going off but was unsure which boat it was coming from. Officer responded and located the vessel and the harbor master was contacted.

DMV HOURS: Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
