Law & Order Dec. 30-Jan. 5

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 12-30-16 thru 1-5-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DECEMBER 30, Friday: 

12:36 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance because they had been assaulted. Officer and ambulance responded and transported individual to CCMC. Case is under investigation.

DECEMBER 31, Saturday:

JANUARY 1, Sunday:

4:16 a.m. Caller reported coming home to his residence and finding someone trying to break in. Officer responded and the case is under investigation. 11:07 a.m. Caller reported dogs running around in town. Officer responded but was unable locate the animals. 1:21 p.m. Caller reported motor vehicle accident with no injuries. Officer responded and spoke with both parties. Case is under investigation. 9:55 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle was driving recklessly. Officer responded but could not locate the vehicle.

JANUARY 2, Monday: 

1:18 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle accident with no injuries and minor damage to vehicles. Officer responded and case is under investigation.

JANUARY 3, Tuesday:  

10:12 a.m. Dispatch received a call with a dead line. Dispatch was able to contact caller who stated there was no emergency. Officer responded and spoke with individual and determined all was okay.

JANUARY 4, Wednesday: 

12:20 p.m. Individual brought in a dog that was running loose. Owner contacted station and an officer returned dog.

JANUARY 5, Thursday: 

1:49 p.m. Caller reported that someone put dents in his car. Officer spoke with individual, he stated that he doesn’t want an action taken and that he thinks he knows who did it. 8:49 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for an individual who was awake but not responding. Officer and ambulance responded and patient was transported to CCMC.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  Tuesday – Thurs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
