Ten Cordovan athletes participated in the statewide Junior Native Youth Olympics event Feb. 24-26 in Anchorage. The Native Village of Eyak sponsors Cordova’s Native Youth Olympics and JNYO programs. Attending the JNYO event in Anchorage were Coach Nick Tiedeman, Aaliyah, Willow, and Taylor Tiedeman, Braden Beckett, Ellie Fode, Faith Hatch, Gracie Hatch, Holly West, Yagnnesis Mejias, and Cole Hanson. Sara Tiedeman was the chaperone.

Second-grade students Willow and Taylor Tiedeman took first and second place in the Junior Native Youth Olympics, in the Eskimo Stick Pull event. Cordova’s ten JNYO athletes participated in the statewide event Feb. 24-26 in Anchorage.
