Law & Order: March 24-30

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 3-24-17 thru 3-30-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MARCH 24, Friday: 

9:00 Caller reported he lost his camera on the Woodworth Glacier.

MARCH 25, Saturday: 

Nothing to report.

MARCH 26, Sunday:

MARCH 27, Monday:  

4:40 p.m. Caller reported his neighbor was yelling and screaming on Fourth St.

MARCH 28, Tuesday: 

5:57 p.m. Caller reported she was being harassed and threatened. Officer spoke with the caller and suspect finding no harassment being done. 6:51 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check. Office responded speaking to the individuals finding all to be well. 8:58 p.m. Caller reported an unconscious, unresponsive patient. Ambulance responded and transported the individual to CCMC.

MARCH 29, Wednesday: 

Nothing to report.

MARCH 30, Thursday: 

5:34 p.m. Dispatch received an automated alarm for a fire at Orca Adventure Lodge. Fire Department responded finding the alarm to be false. 7:36 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a man who was in distress and needed to go to the hospital. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC. 8:45 p.m. Caller requested the Fire Department to check out a burning smell and a smoke haze at Bidarki. Fire Officer responded finding hot wires that could have led to a fire.

DMV HOURS: Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:30pm unless otherwise posted.  Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
