The annual effort to prevent and also treat cancer got off to an early start on April 22 with the Cordova Community Health Fair at Cordova High School. Following the fair, the 2×2 Cordova Cancer Walk’s participants walked 2.2 miles, ending at the Cordova Fire Hall, where volunteers had their heads shaved bald by would-be barbers. All proceeds will be used to pay for cancer screening tests or cancer treatments for area residents.
