Boards of Fish, Game plan for 2018-2019 meeting cycle

Alaska Boards of Fisheries and Game are asking for an informal solicitation of comments or preliminary proposals from local fish and game advisory committees and the public on potential changes if a joint board meeting is scheduled during the 2018/2019 meeting cycle.

The Joint Boards Committee, which is scheduled to hold a teleconference meeting on Feb. 7, will review comments and report back to each board a recommendation for the need of a joint board meeting and topics for the call for proposals.

The deadline for submittals for the committee’s review is Feb. 2.

Regulations under the authority of the joint board are found in 5 AAC (Alaska Administrative Code) Chapter 96, on local fish and game advisory committees and regional fish and game councils; Chapter 97, advisory committee closures, and Chapter 99, subsistence uses.
