Flashback: Six candidates nominated for Miss Iceworm

Six Cordova High School students are in the running for the title of Miss Iceworm 1983. The candidates were nominated by their classmates this month and have submitted resumes to a seven-member committee. The six young women will be interviewed at a dinner in their honor this weekend.

Six Cordova High School students are in the running for the title of Miss Iceworm 1983. The candidates were nominated by their classmates this month and have submitted resumes to a seven-member committee. The six young women will be interviewed at a dinner in their honor this weekend.

The committee’s decision will be announced at the Variety Show on Friday, Feb. 4.

Miss Iceworm will participate in the Iceworm Festival parade on Saturday and will also travel to Anchorage in mid-February to represent Cordova in the Fur Rendevous parade.

The Iceworm and Baby Iceworm also participate in the Fur Rendevous parade.

Candidates are Andrea Platt (Senior), Patti Totemoff (Senior), Sandy Hill (Junior), Stephanie Arvidson (Junior), Jeanne Merritt (Freshman), and Jodi Windom (Freshman).
