Cordova’s Lady Wolverines topped Tok 41-26 and 40-34 in Homecoming basketball on Feb. 16 and 17.
Nine players, the most the CHS girls have had all season, saw action in both games against Interior Conference opponent Tok.
Jieller Tabarra led Cordova with 11 points in the first game, while Isabelle Northway topped the Tok scoring with 14.
Edrea Navarro and Abby Bourgeois each poured in 15 points for CHS in the second contest. Northway finished with 22 points for Tok, including four three pointers in the last quarter that pulled Tok within three points with two minutes left in the game.
The wins evened Cordova’s overall record at 9-9, and Conference tally at 4-4, with two Conference games at SuValley on March 2-3 remaining after a long road trip to Unalaska on Feb. 23-24.
