  1. How would you engage the community to combat substance abuse?

I would encourage all residents to realize the harmful effects of substance abuse.   Make sure I am fully aware of the harmful effects of substance abuse so I can speak to the community from a strong knowledge base.

  1.   What steps need to be taken to balance the Cordova Community Medical Center’s budget?

Have each department justify expenses.  I would make sure the admin explore for grants that would allow for purchasing of specific equipment that would encourage patients to stay in Cordova for treatment of their illnesses.  I would request the admin to consider bonuses for personnel that present cost saving methods to be used by the hospital.

  1. What would you do to make Cordova safer?

First of all and very importantly I would encourage the whole community to come together and make the community safer.
