Evelyn Mulcahy lived with her family in Cordova, Alaska for many years. Her husband Paul was associated with the Department of Highways and they raised their children in Valdez. Evelyn was a caring and loving mother throughout her 78 years. Her winters were spent in Palm Springs where she owned a home. Evelyn’s family includes many nieces, nephews, the Campbell family, the Webber family and cousin Helen Makarka, along with many, many friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Paul Mulcahy, parents Alec and Sue Donaldson, sister Elnora Lary, and brothers Alec Donaldson Jr. and Peter Donaldson. She is survived by sisters Irene Webber, Gail Allen, Dolly Manley, children Joyce Beaudion, Louise Mulcahy-Simpson, Michael Mulcahy (wife Charlotte), and William “Mr.” Mulcahy, and grandchildren Jason Ravary, Janel Beaudion, and Jackson Simpson.
Evelyn’s wishes were that after her death that her ashes be scattered along the Copper River and Fort Richardson Highways where her late husband Paul worked throughout his life.
Her sister Dolly Manley includes, “She is happy and smiling now and we will miss her, but her calling was a happy one. We love you Evelyn.”
