In a salute to aviation providing a vital ink for 82 percent of Alaska’s communities, and contributing $3.5 billion to the state’s economy, Gov. Bill Walker signed the Aviation Appreciation Proclamation at the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering in Anchorage on the first weekend of May.
