These rags were pulled out of a blocked lift system by city workers. The Cordova Public Works Department’s Water and Sewer Division recently made upgrades in the water and treatment plans. Disposal of improper materials into the sewer system, such as these rags, necessitates expensive repairs to damage to equipment down the line. Consumers are asked to do their part to avoid such blockages, and keep the water flowing.
