Law & Order: June 1-7

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 6-1-18 thru 6-7-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                        

JUNE 1, Friday:

2:01 a.m. Officer requested an ambulance for a man who had fallen down the hill by the pool. Ambulance responded, transporting the patient to CCMC. 1:28 p.m. Caller reported an intoxicated man is driving a truck. Officer responded arresting William Markowitz, age 26 of Cordova, for DUI. 9:40 p.m. Caller reported two people yelling at each other. Officer responded finding the two people in a vehicle intoxicated. Officer arrested Autumn Leblanc, age 28 of Cordova, for DUI.

JUNE 2, Saturday:

8:11 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle had been vandalized. Officer responded investigating the situation.

JUNE 3, Sunday:

12:53 a.m. While officer was conducting a traffic stop Patrick Dragt, age 59 of Colorado, was arrested for DUI.

JUNE 4, Monday:

Nothing to report.

JUNE 5, Tuesday:

9:14 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a leg injury. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC. 4:05 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for an employee who had fainted. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC.

JUNE 6, Wednesday:

4:56 p.m. Caller reported a fight on the road by Copper River Seafoods. Officer responded finding no fighting.  

JUNE 7, Thursday:

7:58 p.m. Caller reported her daughter’s boyfriend had been yelling at her all day. Officer responded and after investigating the situation arrested Calvin Nichols, age 21 of Cordova, for Assault in the 4th Degree DV.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
