Law & Order: July 6-12

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 7-6-18 thru 7-12-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

JULY 6, Friday:

1:04 a.m. Caller reported several people were trying to bring in alcohol to a bar and when told to leave they were trying to party outside. Officer responded, and individuals had left the area. 10:04 a.m. Caller reported a reckless driver. Officer responded and spoke with the driver. 10:38 a.m. An ambulance was requested and responded to transport a patient to the airport. 11:28 p.m. Callers reported a female was screaming on Second Street. Officer responded and spoke with an intoxicated individual about going home, which she complied to.

JULY 7, Saturday:

5:18 p.m. Caller requested an intoxicated male be removed from a store. Officer responded and told the individual to leave.

JULY 8, Sunday:

2:15 p.m. Caller reported his net was stolen off his trailer at the city dock. The case is under investigation.

JULY 9, Monday:

3:24 p.m. Caller requested an officer remove an employee who was screaming in the cafeteria. Officer responded and placed an intoxicated individual in a cell for the night.

JULY 10, Tuesday:

2:38 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the airport. Ambulance responded and transported the patient. 6:39 p.m. Caller reported a fire alarm at a local establishment. Fire department responded and determined it to be a false alarm.

JULY 11, Wednesday:

1:57 a.m. An ambulance was requested and transported a patient to the airport. 8:36 a.m. Caller reported a disturbance. The issue is under investigation.

JULY 12, Thursday:

3:40 p.m. Caller reported having a dispute with his son over the car keys. Officer responded and found they had resolved the issue. 4:54 p.m. Caller reported a male was drinking alcohol on Nicholoff Way and he was bothering people. Officer spoke with individual who poured his alcohol out and left. 11:02 p.m. Caller reported fighting in Heney Trailer Court. Officer responded and arrested Leonardo Gonzalez, age 28 of California, for Disorderly Conduct and Assault.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, and citations.
