Aug. 15 is the deadline for submissions for the Alaska Board of Fisheries 2018/2019 meeting cycle agenda change requests, which may be submitted by the public, advisory committees and agencies for proposals on regulatory areas and species not set for deliberation in the current meeting cycle.
At its Oct. 15-16 work session in Anchorage the board will review agenda change requests for possible scheduling in the 2018/2019 meeting cycle.
In order for the board to approve and schedule such requests for later in the meeting cycle, these requests must meet one of three criteria established in state statues under 5 AAC 39.999. These include being for a fishery conservation purpose or reason, to correct an error in a regulation, and/or to correct an effect on a fishery that was unforeseen when a regulation was adopted.
All agenda change requests are due to the Boards Support Section office in Juneau by Aug. 15. A postmark is not sufficient for timely receipt.
Submit these requests online at http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=fisheriesboard.forms,
Email to firstname.lastname@example.org, fax to 1-907-0465-6094, or mail to ADF&G, Boards Support Section, P.O. Box 115526, Juneau, AK 99811-5526.
