Law & Order: July 27-Aug. 2

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 7-27-18 thru 8-2-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

JULY 27, Friday:

12:12 a.m. Caller reported a man at a bar and had a knife. Officer responded to the scene and took an individual into custody until sober. 12:21 a.m. An ambulance was requested and transported a man with a laceration on his head to the hospital. 11:36 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a woman having difficulty breathing. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC. 4:20 p.m. Caller reported a reckless driver. Officer responded and spoke with driver about the incident. 11:19 p.m. Caller reported people were having a bonfire on private property. Officer spoke with individuals who agreed to leave the area.

JULY 28, Saturday:

Nothing to report.

JULY 29, Sunday:

6:22 p.m. An intoxicated individual was brought to the station and taken into custody until sober. 8:17 p.m. Caller reported people drinking at a playground. Officer responded finding the individuals giving them a warning. 10:10 p.m. Caller reported a fight behind the hospital. Officer responded finding the people and no fighting.

JULY 30, Monday:

1:58 p.m. A reckless driver was reported. Officer responded and spoke with individual who was sightseeing along the highway.  

JULY 31, Tuesday:

1:07 p.m. Caller reported a man was not well. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC.

AUGUST 1, Wednesday:

6:19 p.m. Caller reported a woman having an allergic reaction. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC.

AUGUST 2, Thursday:

Nothing to report.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
