City council passes $5,000 match with NVE’s Denali Commission grant

During the Aug. 15 city council meeting, councilmembers voted in favor of a $5,000 match to the Native Village of Eyak’s Denali Commission grant.

“The purpose of this grant is to provide funding for facilitated workshops designed to establish a relationship between both entities that will allow for collaboration to efficiently deliver the best quality health care possible to the community of Cordova,” said Kerin Kramer, executive director of NVE.

The Denali Commission grant, received earlier this year, required matches from NVE and the city of Cordova, said Kramer.

NVE will now put out requests for proposals and review responses.
