Hurricane Florence help coming from Alaska

A team of 36 members of the Alaska Air National Guard was on its way to the East Coast on Sept. 12 to provide assistance in states bracing for the impact of Hurricane Florence.

“Alaskans stand in support for those who are bracing themselves for Hurricane Florence,” said Gov. Bill Walker.

The Alaska team is to assist with recovery, response, and, if necessary, rescues.

“I extend to the East Coast the Alaskan spirit of pullimg together and offering help I a tme of need,” Walker said. “May God watch over our National Guard members, and all who are impacted by Hurricane Florence.”
